Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, known as Rumi, is one of the most famous poets of Iran, who during his lifetime was also called by nicknames such as "Jalaluddin", "Khodavandgar" and "Maulana Khadwandgar". During his 68 years of life, Maulvi got to know great people such as Mohaghegh Tirmezi, Sheikh Attar, Kamaluddin Adeem and Mohiuddin Arabi and learned a lot from them, but no one has been as influential in Molana's life as Shams Tabrizi. Rumi is a month in which Khursheed Shams is visible in his life. Storytellers have told stories about the meeting of Shams and Rumi, in this section of Namanak culture and art, we have brought some beautiful stories about Shams and Rumi, which are worth reading.

The story and details of the story of Rumi and Shams Tabrizi

One day Shams entered the assembly of Rumi where Rumi was giving a speech. He asked Rumi who had some books next to him, what are these?

Maulana answered: It is Qil and Qal.

Shams says: What are you doing with these and throws the books into the nearby pond.

Rumi says: O Darvish, some of these books are my father's souvenirs and unique and rare copies.

Shams Tabrizi dips his hand in the water and takes the books out of the water, without the books getting wet.

Rumi asks with surprise, what is this secret?

Shams answers:

This is the taste that you are not aware of. In this way, Rumi's condition changed and he abandoned the lesson and discussion and turned to violence and found a new birth. And this is how Rumi met Shams Tabrizi and this acquaintance turned his life upside down to the point where he abandoned lessons and sermons and turned to mysticism, poetry, dance and music, leaving aside his apparent knowledge and He achieved an esoteric that not everyone was able to understand.

Informative story "Shams and Rumi"

What you call it is nothing but a mirage

One day, Rumi invited Shams Tabrizi to his house. Shams went to Jalaluddin Rumi's house and after seeing his host's hospitality, he asked him: Have you prepared wine for me?

Molana asked in amazement: "Are you a drinker?"

Shams answered: Yes.

Molana: But I didn't know about this!!

Now that you understand, prepare wine for me.

Where can I get wine at this time of night?!

Tell one of your servants to go and get it.

- By doing this, my honor and dignity will be lost in the eyes of God.

- So go and buy wine yourself.

- Everyone knows me in this city, how can I go to the Christian neighborhood and buy wine?!

- If you are devoted to me, you should prepare wine because I cannot eat, talk or sleep at night without wine.

Molvi, who was devoted to Shams, walks towards the Christian neighborhood with a cloak on his shoulder and a large glass in his hand.

When the people saw Molani in that place, they were amazed and started chasing him. They saw that Maulavi entered a mikdeh and bought a glass of wine and left the mikdeh after hiding it.

He had not left the Christian quarter yet, when a group of Muslims living there started walking in Qafish, and their number increased moment by moment, until Maulvi came to the front of the mosque where he was the imam of the congregation and people followed him every day. At the same time, one of Molavi's competitors who was present in the crowd shouted: "O people! Sheikh Jalaluddin, whom you follow every day during prayer, went to the Christian neighborhood and bought wine. The man said this and pulled the cloak from Maulvi's shoulder. The people's eyes fell on the glass. The man continued: "This hypocrite, who claims to be ascetic and you follow him, now buys wine and takes it home with him!" Then he spat on Jalaluddin Rumi's face and hit his head in such a way that the scarf came off his head and fell on his neck. When the people saw this scene, and especially when they saw Maulvi being passive and silent, they became sure that Maulvi had deceived them for a lifetime with false asceticism and piety, and as a result, they prepared to attack him. They might kill him. At this time, Shams arrived and shouted: "O shameless people! You are not ashamed to accuse a pious and religious man of drinking alcohol. This glass you see contains vinegar because he eats it every day with his food."

"This is not vinegar, but wine," cried Molavi's rival.

Shams opened the door of the jar and poured some of the contents of the jar into the palms of all the people, including that rival, and it was proved to everyone that there was nothing but vinegar inside the jar.

Maulvi's rival hit his head and threw himself at Maulvi's feet, the others kissed his hands and dispersed. Then Maulvi asked Shams: Why did you make me suffer this disaster tonight and forced me to auction my honor and dignity? ?

Shams said: In order to know that what you respect is nothing but a mirage, you thought that the respect of a handful of common people is an eternal capital for you, while you yourself saw, with the thought of a glass of wine, it all disappeared and water They threw their mouths in your face and beat you on your back and probably killed you. This was your capital that you saw tonight and it was gone in an instant. So rely on something that won't fade with time and change. (The book of Mulla Sadra. Written by Henry Corbin.
